Client needed to replace seat cushion insert for better support and selected a south west style fabric for some pop. Choice was also to convert a 3 cushion design to 1 long cushion.
Fun lobster fabric made into pillows. The back side (red) provides a slot for easy removal of the insert. I decided to make a plain stitch into something creative with a contrast decorative stitch to secure the hem.
Pretty new cushions for relaxing on the porch. This back pillows were made thicker than the previous ones so the seat cushion wasn't so deep. Much more comfortable that way.
Client wanted pillows from this pretty southwest fabric but didn't have quite enough so I got creative. Much more interesting this way! The back is solid red.
Bullnose style seat cushions, knife edge style for back cushions
Knife edge cushions, no welt, light tufted (buttons). Buttons help to keep the covers from shifting as well as giving some detail.
